I help my clients work through overcoming trauma and difficult childhood upbringing, navigating dating issues, and understanding and managing their anxiety. I sprinkle in some humor into my work when appropriate because I believe it’s important to be able to laugh in trying times. I ask my clients for permission before offering new viewpoints or challenging some of their unhelpful personal beliefs because I want them to feel in control of where our sessions may go.
I utilize EMDR to help clients who feel stuck due to trauma or unhelpful beliefs. I integrate attachment theory to address dating/relationship issues and low-esteem. I also use CBT and ACT to treat anxiety and body image issues. As someone who’s been in therapy and used many of these same approaches, I feel I can personally vouch for their effectiveness. I feel so incredibly honored to be part of my clients’ lives and watch them grow.
